Global Impact WG

This Working Group tackles all the main issues related to International Affairs and Internet Governance, International Telecommunications Union and Standardization (ITU) and Trade. It coordinates the outreach and advocacy of Connect Europe in relevant international fora (e.g. ITU, IGF, ICANN, WTO, ETSI).

• Standardisation activities at European level (e.g. EU high-level platform, EU Standardisation Multistakeholder Platform, ETSI)
• Leading ITU engagement with a focus on standards and development (ITU-T and ITU-D; ITU-R in coordination with Spectrum WG)
• Internet Governance: IGF, EuroDIG, ICANN
• Coordinate OECD engagement
• EU-US relationship
• WTO agreements and negotiations e.g. e-Commerce rules
